Scientific Beta is proud to announce that its paper entitled "Does ESG Information Deliver Investment Value? A High-Dimensional Portfolio Perspective" has received the Best Paper Award at the Sustainable Finance Research Forum in Paris on 12 December, 2025.
Giovanni Bruno, PhD, Senior Quantitative Researcher at Scientific Beta, presented the research at the Sustainable Finance Research Forum, co-authored with Felix Goltz, Research Director and Antoine Naly, Senior Quantitative Researcher, which examines whether ESG information truly adds investment value. The results show that ESG information can improve performance in traditional backtests but adds no value to portfolio construction when evaluated out-of-sample, highlighting the critical importance of robust, forward-looking validation.
The Sustainable Finance Forum aims to foster dialogue between professionals and academic researchers on Sustainable Finance issues. This event aims to support decision-makers in climate, social and governance transformations and challenges.
