Eric Shirbini, Global Product Specialist at ERI Scientific Beta, has been invited to speak at the 3rd Annual Pennsylvania Institutional Investor Forum on the subject of "Evaluating Alternative Beta Strategies" on Tuesday 29 November, 2016 in Philadelphia. The session will examine what investors should look for when evaluating the new generation of beta strategies, the importance of the flexibility of having alternative weighting methods and the strategies' correlation with established benchmarks.
The Pennyslvania Institutional Investor Forum is specially designed to bring together over 100 senior investment officers, board members, trustees, and the institutional community representing Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining EDHEC-Risk Institute, Eric Shirbini was a quantitative analyst at UBS, BNP Paribas and Nomura International. During this time he worked on a diverse range of topics including multi-factor models, fundamental stock valuation, equity market indices, portfolio construction and portfolio trading. At BNP Paribas Eric managed a team of analysts who were responsible for the Global Equity Research Database. Mr. Shirbini holds a BSc and PhD from University College London and an MBA from CASS Business School.
