Erik Christiansen, Head of Investment Solutions, will be delivering a presentation on the topic of "Shedding Light on Climate Risks in Multifactor Portfolios" and Scientific Beta will be presenting the "Leadership in Energy Transition and Net Zero" and the "Transparency and Communication on Transition Strategies" awards at the event.

Scientific Beta is pleased to be participating in the inaugural IPE Transition Conference & Awards 2024, taking place on 20 June, 2024 in Brussels, which will explore key issues and challenges presented by the transition to a low-carbon economy from an institutional investment, regulation and policy perspective, examining key challenges and opportunities across asset classes. 

At the event, Erik Christiansen, Head of Investment Solutions at Scientific Beta, will be delivering a presentation on the topic of "Shedding Light on Climate Risks in Multifactor Portfolios". The presentation will discuss the profusion of transition risk metrics, ranging from complex proprietary forecasts to simple stranded asset proxies, together with the transparent metrics in between that extract information from market prices, which will also be demonstrated.

Erik Christiansen is Head of Investment Solutions at Scientific Beta. He was previously Head of Investment Strategy with the Etablissement de Retraite Additionnelle de la Fonction Publique (ERAFP), the mandatory pension scheme for French civil servants, where he was responsible for implementing the equity and ESG strategies. He has also previously worked as a Methodology Coordinator and Analyst at Vigeo Eiris, the ESG rating agency. Erik holds a Master’s degree in Management from the ESCP Business School and is a CFA charterholder.

IPE will also take the opportunity to reward excellence in the area of transition to a low-carbon economy thorough an informal awards presentation ceremony after the conference. Comprising seven specialist categories, the IPE Transition Awards offer pension funds and other institutional investors the opportunity to measure the success of their transition and net zero strategies, collaborations and initiatives.
