Eric Shirbini, Global Research and Investment Solutions Director at ERI Scientific Beta, has been invited to share his views and experience on "Evaluating Alternative Beta Strategies" at the 2nd Annual Canada Institutional Investor Forum on Wednesday 17 May, 2017 which will examine what investors should look for when evaluating the new generation of smart beta strategies.
Eric Shirbini, Global Research and Investment Solutions Director at ERI Scientific Beta, has been invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Canada Institutional Investor Forum as a panelist in the session on "Evaluating Alternative Beta Strategies" on Wednesday 17 May, 2017. The session will examine what investors should look for when evaluating the new generation of beta strategies, the importance of the flexibility of having alternative weighting methods, and the strategies’ correlation with established benchmarks.
The Canada Institutional Investor Forum is specially designed to bring together over 100 senior investment officers, board members and investment consultants representing the institutional investor community in Canada, including public pension funds, university endowments, foundations, healthcare organisations, corporate pension funds and insurance companies.
Prior to joining EDHEC-Risk Institute, Eric Shirbini was a quantitative analyst at UBS, BNP Paribas and Nomura International. During this time he worked on a diverse range of topics including multi-factor models, fundamental stock valuation, equity market indices, portfolio construction and portfolio trading. At BNP Paribas Eric managed a team of analysts who were responsible for the Global Equity Research Database. Mr. Shirbini holds a BSc and PhD from University College London and an MBA from CASS Business School.
