Eric Shirbini, Global Product Specialist at ERI Scientific Beta, is hosting a fringe meeting on smart beta, entitled "Better Beta – Getting Ahead of the Market", at the annual Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association Investment Conference on Wednesday 8 March, 2017 in Edinburgh. As investors are being presented with numerous offerings involving new forms of beta beyond the broad market premium, Mr. Shirbini will examine how pension funds should understand these often complex products in order to make an informed assessment of which options offer best value while incorporating a sensible level of risk and what this proliferation of products really promises in terms of diversifying asset allocations.
The Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association Investment Conference will gather together 900 pension professionals and is the largest event in the United Kingdom focusing on pension fund investment.
Prior to joining EDHEC-Risk Institute, Eric Shirbini was a quantitative analyst at UBS, BNP Paribas and Nomura International.
