"(…) Among those who have been touting the smart beta concept around Asia is Paul Hoff, who joined EDHEC-Risk Institute’s new venture, ERI Scientific Beta, in May as its Tokyo-based business development director, as reported. He was previously FTSE Japan’s Tokyo-based director of business development. ERI Scientific Beta, which was set up at the end of last year, is a platform that offers a new approach to smart beta investing, dubbed smart beta 2.0, on which investors can choose and control the risks of 2,442 indices.
