ERI Scientific Beta is pleased to announce the release of an updated version of the replication module on its smart beta platform in January 2014, as part of its objective to further facilitate the replication of the Scientific Beta indices by global investors.

The replication module, which requires an additional subscription, already offers the following features:

The module enables investors and asset managers to anticipate the processing of announced corporate actions and quarterly rebalancing by providing a preview of corporate actions, and quarterly review files with SEDOL identifiers. This includes the actual impact of corporate actions (price adjustment factor, shares adjustment factor) allowing index users to check these results against the announcement. The module is available through a secure FTP service.

In its current version, the replication module includes, every day at 08:00 CET, all quantitative daily adjustment factors for corporate actions that affect constituents which have a close price available at CET previous market close, i.e. Developed Europe, Israel and North America.

Specifically, the ERI Scientific Beta Replication Module delivers the following files on a daily basis:

In an ongoing concern to optimise the replication informational flow for all of our global investors, including also our Developed Asian market Scientific Beta index replicators, the forthcoming version of the replication module will contain all quantitative adjustments available at the generation time of the updated corporate actions forecast file (16:00 CET or 23:00 JST), including the adjustment factors for the next trading day on local markets, calculated on Developed Asia stocks for which the closing price is already available.
