This policy applies to the CryptoCurrency indices administrated by Scientific Beta unless if otherwise specified in the index relevant methodology document.
The Scientific Beta index methodologies do not allow for retrospective changes to previously published index values, except in the case of index calculation inaccuracies or errors within a correction period of 30 calendar days.
Scientific Beta requires extensive input and output data quality checks to detect and correct errors before publishing index values. However, stakeholders should be aware that index inaccuracies may still occur.
Such inaccuracies may notably be linked to incorrect, incomplete or delayed data inputs; market disruptions and distortions; and incorrect application of index Methodology.
The correction of an inaccuracy detected prior to publication may require delaying index and replication file publication. In this event, Subscribers will be notified by email.
In the event an inaccuracy is detected after publication, Scientific Beta will follow the rules below to ascertain whether an index or several indices should be recalculated and report index restatements. In complex cases, Scientific Beta reserves the right to consult Stakeholders as to the appropriate course of action.
